LGC acquires LINK and strengthens its oligo reagents offering
LGC announced today that it has acquired LINK Technologies, a premier supplier of speciality reagents for oligonucleotide synthesis. LINK’s products are used by oligonucleotide synthesis companies, university and commercial research departments as well as contract manufacturing organisations in the biotech sector.
Following the acquisition, LGC will combine its Biosearch oligonucleotide reagent group, its Prime Synthesis CPG business and LINK into a newly-formed Nucleic Acid Chemistry business that will sit within its Genomics division and trade as LGC LINK.

LINK is certified to ISO9001:2015 and has 21 employees based at Bellshill, near Glasgow. LGC will continue to operate from LINK’s Bellshill facility and will continue to supply its products.
The company was founded in 1989, and first operated from laboratories within Glasgow University.
