This period has seen meaningful progress across all areas of the business, including the launch of major new sites in Guildford and Toronto, both of which position LGC for long-term, scalable growth.
Delivering on Our Strategy: Sustainably Strong, Operating at Scale
During this period, we continued to embed the capabilities needed to grow sustainably and operate with true global reach. Our work has been framed by six core pillars: building a high-performance culture, driving growth through customer focus, investing in scalable platforms, strengthening sustainability, focusing our portfolio, and pursuing targeted acquisitions and partnerships.
These pillars continue to shape decision-making and investment across the Group, and this six-month performance reflects tangible progress against each.
Expanding Our Global Footprint: Guildford and Toronto
This reporting period marked two of the most important infrastructure milestones in recent years.
Guildford
The October 2025 launch of our new Guildford site, as the new home for our UK National Laboratories’ teams, will represent a major step forward in creating a more scalable, collaborative, and modern operating environment for our NL teams. Guildford will bring together capabilities previously spread across multiple facilities and provides new space for R&D, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
It stands as a tangible example of our commitment to investing in high-quality environments that support both our people and our long-term growth strategy.
Toronto
Our new Toronto Organic Chemistry Centre of Excellence is now operational and represents one of the largest and most advanced investments in our Standards business in recent years.
This site significantly expands our global manufacturing capacity, supports the continued growth of Toronto Research Chemicals (TRC), and strengthens our ability to serve customers worldwide with high-quality, complex organic molecules.
The opening of Toronto is a clear example of LGC’s ability to operate at scale and reinforces our leadership in critical components for diagnostic, pharmaceutical, and research applications.
Operating Model & Efficiencies
We have continued to embed our enterprise-wide operating model to drive efficiency, simplify processes, and create shared capabilities across HR, Finance, IT, procurement, and other support functions., including investments in new capabilities. These changes are creating a more resilient and flexible organisation while enabling us to invest further in customer-driven science, digital transformation, and infrastructure.
Our People and Culture
Our values – Passion, Curiosity, Integrity, Brilliance and Respect – remain the foundation of our culture. During this period we have focused on strengthening leadership capability through global training, improving cross-site collaboration, and fostering a culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and scientific excellence.
The opening of our new sites has created improved working environments and new opportunities for development, contributing to stronger employee experience across the Group.
Sustainability and ESG
We continue to make good progress against the priorities set out in our ESG Report. This includes reducing energy usage through site consolidation, expanding renewable energy efforts, improving responsible procurement practices, and supporting the wellbeing and development of our people.
Sustainability remains integral to how we grow and central to delivering on our mission responsibly.
Outlook
As we look to the remainder of the year, we will continue to focus on delivering sustainable growth and strong operational performance. The successful launch of our Guildford and Toronto facilities positions LGC for the next phase of scale and efficiency, while continued investment in science, infrastructure, and people strengthens our platform for long-term value creation.
