Sarah, Principal Scientist
What does your role at LGC entail?
I am a Principal Scientist within the CMC Analytical Services team at Fordham. I have direct responsibility for running the CMC Inorganic Analytical Services Team and act as the Deputy Head of Quality Control within CMC Analytical Services.
What do you most enjoy about your role?
I enjoy the variety of work that we undertake and the fact that the data we produce helps to improve the safety of drug products both already on the market and in the drug development process. We get involved with both large and small projects, each bringing their own set of challenges. I like that we have direct contact with our customers, often meeting them face to face, and this gives us the opportunity to add value to their projects and deliver high quality data that is fit for their needs.
What has been your proudest moment at LGC?
There isn’t a single moment that I can pick out, but I am proud of what my team have achieved since I have been at LGC. The inorganics team have developed into an experienced and extremely competent team, capable of delivering some extremely large and complex projects with a strong attention to data quality and customer satisfaction.
"I like the fact that Science is at the heart of everything that LGC does and that there is a strong set of corporate values which are really incorporated into day to day activities. Social and charitable activities are promoted both during and outside of working hours and this makes the working environment both a pleasant and productive place to be."
