LGC acquires Paragon Scientific, strengthening its position in reference materials
Today, LGC announced the acquisition of Paragon Scientific (Paragon), a leading manufacturer of reference materials for applied markets including the petroleum and petrochemical sectors.
The acquisition of Paragon strengthens LGC’s global reference material offering for applied markets and complements its existing product portfolio. The combination with Paragon provides improved access for customers to a wider portfolio of products via an extended commercial and distribution network and an enhanced R&D capability, which will facilitate the introduction of new products.

Founded in 1994, Paragon employs 22 people in the North West of England with two facilities located in Birkenhead and is accredited to ISO 17025 and ISO 17034.
