The NML & Analysis for Innovators: back for 2018
08 Feb 2018
The Analysis for Innovators (A4I)
programme supports growth and innovation by offering UK companies access to world-leading experts and cutting-edge facilities, techniques and technologies to solve an analysis or measurement problem from within their existing business that can show a potential positive business impact.
Following on from the successful inaugural competition launched last year, the National Measurement Laboratory (NML)
at LGC will again be one of the four partners making their expertise available to successful applicants. After initial free brokered technical consultancy sessions we will offer support to allow industry access to our unique facilities and expertise in optional follow-on R&D projects.
Previous projects we have been involved in include nucleic acid measurements to develop novel cell therapy products, assay development to improve diagnostic tests, and novel online approaches for quality control of food products.
Any size businesses with any type of measurement or analysis problem are able to apply but if you want to find out more, Innovate UK is holding a series of roadshow events around the UK from mid-February to early March 2018.
These will explain the programme and how it differs from other funding competitions, both in terms of its scope and the online application process and schedule.
The events are free to attend, but places are limited. These half-day events will provide plenty of time to ask questions.
•13 February, London – briefing event hosted by NPL
•16 February, Birmingham
•20 February, Cardiff – in partnership with the Welsh Government
•23 February, Glasgow – in partnership with Technology Scotland
•2 March, Belfast
