Workshop on Quality in Analytical Measurements: From Specification to Decision

Eurachem invites members of the international analytical community to a workshop on ‘Quality in Analytical Measurements’ from the 19 – 21 May 2014, in Lisbon, Portugal.

Eurachem is a network of organisations in Europe that aim to establish a system for the international traceability of chemical measurements and the promotion of good quality practices. This workshop is being hosted as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

The workshop, which is being organised by the 'Eurachem Measurement Uncertainty and Traceability Working Group' and is in collaboration with CITAC, The University of Lisbon and RELACRE, focuses on the following topics:


  • Specification for measurements
  • Product compliance assessment
  • Procedure validation/verification
  • Measurement traceability
  • Proficiency testing
  • Training


LGC is actively involved in Eurachem and our scientists Dr Steve Ellison, Principal Scientist Statistics and Informatics, and Vicki Barwick, Head of Commercial Training, are on the Scientific Committee for this workshop.
