Our people

Our ability to attract, engage and develop talented colleagues is essential to our continued success and continue to make LGC a sustainably great place to work.

Employee health and wellbeing

Our aim is to address employee well-being within our workplace, on-site and remote, and support our colleagues to navigate and manage external pressures. Activities implemented to support health and well-being include:

  • Promoting physical health and well-being;
  • Supporting hybrid working;
  • Enhancing our employee assistance programmes;
  • Equipping our managers around mental health.

Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB)

Central to supporting our people is building an inclusive working environment, where the opportunity for progression is the same for all colleagues

    PRYSM is a cross-divisional LGBTQIA+ resource group at LGC, whose mission is to help cultivate an inclusive workplace culture where members of the LGBTQIA+ community feel welcomed, respected and supported.

  • Women's network group
    LGC Women’s Network. The mission of the network is to create an inclusive and equitable culture at LGC, with the aim to provide a supportive space for women to thrive through career development opportunities, mentorship and shared interests.

Learning and Development

Curiosity is at the heart of learning. We aim to enhance the skills, knowledge base and networks of our colleagues continuously to ensure that they are equipped to support their career and well-being, as well as deliver our core purpose of Science for a Safer World.
