Fishy story

The Brief

A number of expensive koi carp were imported to the UK and subsequently died. Our audio-visual team was asked to examine pictures of the fish to establish where they came from (exotic fish are photographed for insurance purposes).

The Findings

Scale patterns, size and shape were examined. Interestingly, the unique scale patterns of koi carp led analysts to conclude that the fish imported to the UK and those photographed in Israel were the same species.

This subsequently provided evidence to support a possible civil lawsuit.
