Limited Use Label License Statement 1
The use of the LGC ParaDNA® Products is restricted to Forensic and Human Identity Applications. This incorporates any analysis, based on the measurement of the length of polynucleotide sequence containing a tandem repeat, of human genetic material for (a) use in, or in preparation for, legal proceedings, or (b) analysis of biological specimens for identification of individuals. Forensics and Human Identity Applications do not include parentage determinations (except in criminal cases and investigations), tissue typing or clinical diagnostic uses.

Use of this product is covered by one or more of the following US patents and corresponding patent claims outside the US: 6,127,155. The purchase of this product includes a limited, non-transferable immunity from suit under the foregoing patent claims for using only this amount of product for performing forensics and human identity applications as a service. This license expressly excludes the use of this product in chimerism determination or analysis, molar specimens classification, cell line authentication, determination of fetal sex, cancer analysis, genetic research, noncasework-related forensic applications (such as general research in forensics or teaching and training persons not employed in a forensic laboratory), identifying or determining maternal cell contamination, or sample tracking. No right under any other patent claim, no right to perform any patented method, and no right to perform commercial services for any other purpose, is conveyed expressly, by implication, or by estoppel. Use of your ParaDNA Screening System is subject to a limited, non-transferable licence under US and foreign patents owned by BIO-RAD Laboratories, Inc. No other licence under these patents is conveyed or implied from the purchase of this product. Phire® DNA Polymerase is manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific. Phire is a trademark and property of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

a) For Licensed Products that are kits:
“The purchase of this product includes a limited, non-transferable license under specific claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,174,670, 7,670,832, and 5,871,908, owned by the University of Utah Research Foundation or Evotec Biosystems GmbH and licensed to BioFire Diagnostics, Inc. and Roche Diagnostics GmbH, to use only the enclosed amount of product according to the specified protocols. No right is conveyed, expressly, by implication, or by estoppel, to use any instrument or system under any claim of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,174,670, 7,670,832, and 5,871,908, other than for the amount of product contained herein.”
b) For Licensed Products that are instruments:
“This instrument is licensed under specific claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,174,670, 7,670,832, and 5,871,908, owned by the University of Utah Research Foundation
or Evotec Biosystems GmbH and licensed to BioFire Diagnostics, Inc. and Roche Diagnostics GmbH. No right is conveyed expressly, by implication, or by estoppel under any other patent claim, such as claims to reagents or kits.”
