To help our customers realise the full
potential of their cell-based applications, LGC offers a
comprehensive research and development service in cell-based
analysis. Cell-based technologies are the driving force behind a
new wave of therapeutic and analysis tools that are revolutionising
the healthcare, diagnostics and pharmaceutical industries.
LGC’s cell biology analysis service can be
combined with our services in molecular
biology and mass spectroscopy.
We are using the latest technologies for cell handling (laser
microdissection microscopy and microfluidics), biomarker analysis, physiochemical profiling and
cell imaging, in
combination with real-time non-invasive cell
monitoring techniques. This will enable us to measure and
predict accurately cell behaviour in complex environments down to
the level of the single cell.
A long-term measurement goal is to make cell-based measurements
more comparable by developing the concept of the ‘authenticated'
cell and by anchoring measurements to internationally recognised
units. LGC is leading the way towards the ultimate goal of
improving the consistency and comparability of cell-based
measurements.
