Research programme management

NIHR CCF

The National Institute for Health Research Central Commissioning Facility ( NIHR CCF) located at LGC acts as a gateway for health researchers seeking funding from key NIHR programmes, namely:

Programme Grants for Applied Research for collaborative research programmes of up to £2m
Research for Patient Benefit Programme, which provides up to £250k for clinical research projects
Invention for Innovation (i4i), incorporating New and Emerging Applications of Technology (NEAT)
The Central Commissioning Facility also commissions research under the Department of Health's Policy Research Programme and liaises in particular with users of healthcare services through Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) to enable the public evaluation of research proposals.

We manage other NIHR calls and commissioning panels under the NIHR Faculty and Infrastructure workstrands on an ad hoc basis.
