Overview
Through LGC Science and Technology, a division
of LGC, we offer a comprehensive range of analytical, research and
consultancy services for both Government
and public sector and commercial organisations.
The division houses LGC's role as the UK's designated National Measurement Institute (NMI)
for chemical and biochemical analysis, leading improvements in
the accuracy and reliability of chemical and bio-measurements that
are important to the UK's industrial competitiveness and quality of
life. We have developed a resources section to help you find
information on latest research, case studies, training, and key
topics critical in delivering good quality analytical measurement,
as well as extensive information on analytical chemistry
for schools and universities.
LGC is also the
National Reference Laboratory for a range of key areas
including GMOs and feed additives.
We also manage large external
programmes to provide comprehensive administrative support for
major government initiatives, such as those sponsored by the
Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and Department of
Health as well as provide third party laboratory management.
LGC Health Sciences
On 1 April 2012, LGC's Health Sciences division was
launched. Prior to this date, the health
sciences activities came under the LGC Science & Technology
Division.
Our LGC Health Sciences division
provides high value analytical services to the pharmaceutical, food
and sports sectors. The LGC Health
Sciences division includes the recently acquired HFL group and therefore benefits from a long
established expertise in delivering analytical services to the
sports sector.
