LGC’s CMC group focuses on providing laboratory services to help accelerate the development of new medicines for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry. Our comprehensive expertise and capabilities provide support to the complex challenges faced in drug development and in solving issues at all stages of manufacture.
Operating from state-of-the-art facilities to GLP, GCP and cGMP standards, we use LC, GC and ICP techniques for the comprehensive chemical and physical characterisation of drug formulations, to ensure they are safe for patients to take.
Job purpose:

In order to support our growing business we are looking for an analytical scientist with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in inhalation science, preferably with nebulisers.
The successful candidate will work within our CMC Organics team which performs chromatographic analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients, drug formulations and impurities in order to support drug development, stability and release on behalf of the Pharmaceutical Industry. All the work is performed according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations.
The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the work, including standard and sample preparation, analysis using GC, LC and MS, data processing and reporting.
