Lord Stevens

Non Executive Director

Lord Stevens has served for 42 years in the Police Service. He retired as Commissioner, Metropolitan Police in January 2005. During his career, Lord Stevens held various senior posts on several police forces, including Hampshire, Cambridgeshire and Northumbria. He was awarded the Queen's Police Medal for distinguished service in 1991 and has received 27 commendations during his career.

He was knighted in her Majesty's New Year Honours 2000 and appointed Lord Stevens of Kirkwhelpington in April 2005.
